Program description

The program is designed for practicing neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons who are actively involved in spine surgery or interested in its development. This internship is aimed at developing a dialogue between Ukrainian and American spine surgeons to develop clinical approaches and improve the organization of patient care.

The participant of the program will be able to monitor the work of an orthopedic surgeon, a neurosurgeon and two specialists in pain medicine during outpatient appointments, surgical interventions and during rounds in the department. Due to regulatory restrictions, the internship will not involve participation in invasive procedures or active patient examination.

The American-Ukrainian Medical Foundation was able to organize a free clinical internship in spine surgery thanks to the generous financial support of Globus Medical. Depending on the dates of the internship, the participant will be able to attend the Globus Medical training course.
