Dorland's dictionary was first published in 1900. Since that time it is considered one of the best medical dictionaries in the world. Evolving thoughout the years and constantly reflecting the new developments in medical science, until these days it remains the guidemark for multiple generations of medical professionals.

The 29th edition of the Dorland's dictionary was carefully revised to satisfy the ever increasing expectations of the readers. Twenty three experts were involved into revision of this edition.
