Bohdan M. Pichurko, M.D.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Pichurko completed Baccalaureate studies Magna cum Laude at the University of Notre Dame. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Chicago’s Loyola U. School of Medicine. Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Medical Residency were completed at the U. of Illinois. Specialty training in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital was followed by a faculty appointment to the Harvard Medical School from 1984-89. During this period, he was named the first Shipley Fellow in Pulmonary Research, and was awarded the Parker B. Francis Fellowship to support his Asthma investigation. In 1989, Dr. Pichurko was appointed Director of Pulmonary Fellowship, Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care at Sinai Hospital; and Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University. Subsequently, he became Chief of Pulmonary Medicine and Director of Respiratory Therapy at Providence Hospital. Since 2010, Dr Pichurko is Director of Pulmonary Function Laboratories at the Cleveland Clinic. He has authored over 75 published original articles, abstracts and book chapters on pulmonary topics, chiefly asthma and cystic fibrosis.
